Esmeralda "Esme" Ortiz (Sharmaine Suarez) saw Dinoy Maghirang (Dominic Ochoa) at the public market where she accidentally lost Princess Areeyah. Esme recognized Dinoy's face but she did not approach him to confront about Princess Areeyah. Dinoy, on the other hand, also recognized Esme as Mikay's guardian, during the time he saved Mikay Maghirang/Princess Areeyah (Kathryn Bernardo) from a tragedy at the public market back then. Back then, Dinoy tried to give back Mikay to Esme but Dinoy saw how drunkard Esme was. Dinoy couldn't ruin Mikay's future that is why he decided to adopt Mikay even without his family's blessings. Later that time, Esme went to the hospital and saw Mikay sleeping together with Vicky Ortiz (Shey Bustamante). Esme then awakened Mikay and thanked her for looking after Vicky when she was away for awhile. Concurrently, Prince Dasho Jao (Enrique Gil) and his mother, Ashi Behati (Gretchen Barretto) had a conversation. Jao confronted Ashi towards what she knew about Yin Hwan Dee (Nina Dolino). Jao also believed that Ashi is responsible of bringing Princess Areeyah in the Philippines by asking Yin's favor. Ashi, on the other hand, was insulted by Jao and King Anand's (Albert Martinez) speculation towards her. Ashi then asked Jao to go with her back in Yangdon so that they can both start a new life there. Jao, on the other hand, told his mother that he won't go with her back in Yangdon because he wants to help King Anand in finding Princess Areeyah. Jao then tried to convince Ashi to stay in the Philippines a couple days and help King Anand also, so that they can prove to King Anand that she is innocent.
