Nathaniel "Nathan" Montenegro (Paolo Avelino) looked for his wife, Katerina Alcantara/Montenegro (Julia Montes) in Legaspi, Bicol. Nathan is sure to find Katerina in Legaspi because he followed Virginia Cruz (Susan Roces) there. Making sure to find Katerina first before Virginia could, Nathan asked some of the residents, showing Katerina's picture to them. Eager to find Katerina by asking very arrogantly, none of the residents entertained Nathan's question. Meanwhile, Katerina and Daniel Cruz/Guidotti (Coco Martin) had a great time talking to each other while harvesting some mangoes. After awhile, when Katerina and Daniel were on their way home, they saw Nathan talking to Luisa (Sharmaine Buencamino) and Homer (William Lorenzo). Nathan bribed Homer and Luisa just to get an information, if Katerina is there in Legaspi. On the other hand, Homer saw Katerina and Daniel behind Nathan wherein he hurriedly pointed at the direction where he saw them. But unfortunately, Katerina and Daniel hurriedly hid from Nathan. Meanwhile, Luisa saw how Katerina and Daniel hurriedly hid from Nathan and gave Nathan a wrong information. Luisa told Nathan that she once saw Katerina in Legaspi but only stayed for the night and left. Luisa even told Nathan that Katerina rode a bus to Sorsogon because she believed that Nathan is the man that Katerina did not want to see.
